Methodology

The environmental indicators were calculated by applying publicly available benchmark indicators for energy consumption and emissions per transaction for the respective blockchain networks.

Total energy consumption and emissions were determined by multiplying the respective indicators by the number of transactions carried out during the reporting period.

When assets can be transferred across more than one blockchain network, calculations are based on the network infrastructure used.

Data reliability

The indicators are based on publicly available technical specifications of the respective blockchain networks, blockchain metadata, and generally accessible research on the energy consumption of crypto networks.

Transaction activity data was extracted from the company's internal records for the reporting period.
